Nestled along the Adriatic coast, Montenegro is one of Europe’s most captivating destinations, with excellent connections by air, road, and sea from cities across the continent.
However you’re travelling, getting here is straightforward.
What happens when you arrive? That’s the unforgettable part.
Montenegro is served by two international airports – Podgorica Airport (TGD) and Tivat Airport (TIV), both offering direct and connecting flights from major European cities. Both airports are well connected and within easy reach of the festival locations: Podgorica is approximately 1.5 hours from Long Beach in Ulcinj and about 1 hour from Bečići, while Tivat is around 20 minutes from Bečići and approximately 2 hours from Long Beach. Whichever you fly into, getting to either venue is straightforward.

The main airlines flying into Montenegro include: Ryanair, Wizz Air, Turkish Airlines, Air Serbia, easyJet, Eurowings, and several other regional carriers – meaning competitive prices and plenty of options no matter where you’re coming from.
From Tivat Airport (TIV) Tivat is the closest airport to Bečići, just 20 minutes away by car. Long Beach in Ulcinj is approximately 2 hours from Tivat – both locations are easily reachable by taxi, private transfer, or rental car along the scenic Adriatic coastal road – making Tivat a convenient entry point for both festival locations.
From Podgorica Airport (TGD) Podgorica connects well to both locations. Long Beach in Ulcinj is approximately 1.5 hours away, while Bečići is around 1 hour by car. Taxis and private transfers are available directly from arrivals, and bus connections to both Ulcinj and Budva operate from Podgorica’s main bus station, which is easily reachable from the airport.
By Taxi & Rideshare – Available at both airports.
By Bus – Montenegro’s intercity bus network connects both Podgorica and the coast regularly, with routes serving Ulcinj and Budva. Check schedules at the local bus stations.
By Rental Car – All major car rental companies operate from both airports. Montenegro drives on the right, and roads along the coast are well-maintained and scenic. Having a car gives you the flexibility to move between both festival locations with ease.
Montenegro is well connected to neighbouring countries by road, making it an easy drive from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and North Macedonia.
From Serbia – Approx. 4–5 hours to Podgorica via the E763/E65 highway through Novi Pazar.
From Croatia – Approx. 3–4 hours from Dubrovnik to Budva along the Adriatic coastal route.
From Bosnia and Herzegovina – Approx. 3 hours from Sarajevo to the Montenegrin border.
From Albania – Approx. 1 hour from Shkodër to Ulcinj, making this an easy crossing for those coming from the south.
One of the most scenic ways to reach Montenegro is by rail. The Belgrade – Bar railway is one of Europe’s most spectacular train routes, crossing mountain ranges, viaducts, and tunnels before descending to the Adriatic coast. The journey from Belgrade takes approximately 11 hours and arrives at Bar station. From there, both festival locations are easily reachable by road: Ulcinj is around 40 minutes away, and Bečići is approximately 1 hour away.
Montenegro’s coastline has long welcomed travellers by sea, and arriving by ferry remains one of the most scenic ways to reach the Adriatic.
From Bari or Ancona (Italy) – Regular ferry services operate between Italy and the port of Bar in Montenegro. From Bar, both festival locations are easily reachable by road: Ulcinj is approximately 40 minutes away, and Budva/Bečići is about 1 hour. Check schedules at montenegrolines.net.
By Cruise – Montenegro is an established Mediterranean cruise destination, with the Bay of Kotor among the most iconic arrival points in all of Europe.
