One of Europe’s most electrifying festival stories is heading to the Montenegrin coast, culminating in EXIT’s grand summer finale, Sea Dance, taking place from 28 to 30 August on Bečići Beach. Electronic superstars Charlotte de Witte and HUGEL top the bill, now joined by one of today’s most popular electronic music artists and the creator of the distinctive high-tech minimal sound, Boris Brejcha, as well as reigning Eurovision winner DARA. Her infectious single “Bangaranga” has won over audiences around the world and become one of the year’s most recognisable hits. Also joining the lineup are Portuguese techno star BIIA, Berlin techno heavyweight Marcel Dettmann, one of the scene’s most influential figures, psychedelic house master Mita Gami, and New York DJ sensation Layla Benitez. The grand finale will also feature John Newman, one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary pop, Enrico Sangiuliano and RPR Soundsystem, alongside a carefully selected lineup of regional and local support.
Leading the new wave of artists joining EXIT 2 Montenegro – Sea Dance Edition is masked icon of the global electronic scene Boris Brejcha, whose EXIT performances have long since become part of festival history. His Dance Arena debut in 2019 sparked complete euphoria, and the connection between Brejcha and the EXIT crowd grew even stronger at the 2025 anniversary edition, when tens of thousands of his unmistakable “Jokerheads” filled the Arena. Now, his joker mask, futuristic sound and monumental production are heading to the Adriatic coast.
Brejcha built a musical universe of his own at a time when no existing genre could fully describe his sound. He called it high-tech minimal and turned it into a global phenomenon that now commands the world’s biggest festivals and arenas. His sets are at once precise and unpredictable, dark and playful, and his arrival in Bečići promises one of the biggest electronic nights of the summer.
Also heading to the Montenegrin coast is one of Europe’s most exciting pop names right now. DARA brought Bulgaria its first Eurovision victory with the infectious pop anthem “Bangaranga”, winning over both the public and professional juries. Her explosive stage presence, striking visual identity and contemporary dance-pop sound have made her one of Europe’s biggest new stars, and her performance in Bečići will mark her big introduction to the Montenegrin audience.
Amplifying the programme’s techno edge is BIIA, an artist rapidly taking over the global rave scene. Her sets fuse raw energy, driving 90s rhythms, acid, electro and her own vocals into a sound that is fierce, emotional and unmistakably contemporary. After closing EXIT Festival in 2025, the Portuguese star is now set to take over Bečići Beach.
Bringing particular weight to the bill is Marcel Dettmann, an artist whose name is inseparable from Berlin, Berghain and the evolution of contemporary European techno. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has remained faithful to uncompromising club music without ever being confined to a single formula, moving from stripped-back techno and electro to house, industrial textures and unexpected musical turns. EXIT audiences remember his performances at Petrovaradin Fortress, and now he brings that authentic energy to the Montenegrin coast for the first time.
Exploring the programme’s more psychedelic side is Mita Gami, a DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose sets blur the lines between melodic house, indie dance and hypnotic club rhythms. His music unfolds as a journey, gradually evolving, changing direction and carrying the crowd from the first sunset deep into the night. Against the backdrop of the open sea and a summer beach, his sound will find its natural festival stage.
Bridging powerful techno and melodic summer rhythms is Layla Benitez, the New York DJ star known for sets that seamlessly blend melodic techno, house, indie dance and dark disco. From leading clubs in Ibiza and New York to the world’s biggest festivals, her performances build an atmosphere that moves constantly between hypnotic tension and all-out dancefloor euphoria. Following appearances at EXIT events across Europe and the Adriatic, Layla returns to the EXIT crowd at one of this summer’s most beautiful festival locations.
The new wave joins a programme already anchored by some of the biggest and most in-demand artists of the moment. Belgian techno heroine Charlotte de Witte returns to Budva at the height of her success, following historic appearances in the heart of Genoa and a surprise appearance at rave mecca Tomorrowland. Global dance sensation HUGEL brings to Bečići a string of worldwide hits that have conquered clubs, festivals and charts across the globe. The French superstar is currently setting the music world alight with his debut album Twenty One, while dominating Shazam globally: current single Movin’ To The Sun sits at No. 1 on the worldwide Shazam chart, with Jamaican (Bam Bam) at No. 2, meaning HUGEL currently has the two most searched-for songs on the planet.
One of the most recognisable voices in contemporary British music, John Newman will unveil his Exclusive New Live Show in Montenegro, combining global hits “Love Me Again”, “Feel the Love” and “Blame” with the new electronic chapter of his career. Italian techno maestro Enrico Sangiuliano brings a powerful, impeccably precise sound, while RPR Soundsystem will steer the night in a completely different direction with the marathon sets that have long held cult status among electronic music devotees. The three pioneers of the celebrated Romanian minimal sound will bring a hypnotic groove to Bečići and the kind of musical journey that ends not with the final track, but with the first rays of sunlight.
Due to changes in her touring schedule, Peggy Gou will not be able to perform at the festival.
From high-tech minimal, uncompromising techno and the Romanian underground to Latin house hits, psychedelic melodies, European pop and one of the most powerful voices in contemporary music, the closing chapter of EXIT 2 Montenegro – Sea Dance Edition brings together different generations and the full spectrum of today’s global festival scene.
After the first chapter turned Ulcinj’s Long Beach into a major international gathering in early July, EXIT’s journey through Montenegro continues in Budva. From 28 to 30 August, Bečići Beach will become a vast open-air dancefloor, bringing together some of the world’s biggest stars, the Adriatic Sea and crowds from across the region, Europe and numerous countries worldwide.
